The challenge

One deployable, one database, one Sunday-night window. Every release was an all-hands event and rollbacks took hours.

How I approached it

Strangler facade routing traffic slice-by-slice to new services
Containerized bounded contexts on Kubernetes with autoscaling
GitOps delivery with preview environments and instant rollback
Database-per-service split with a verified migration rehearsal

The outcome

Deploys went from weekly to on-demand, rollbacks take five minutes, and Sunday deploys are history.
